“Pining” (an acrostic poem)

 tea-556777_1920

Scripture Reference;

13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:14-16 KJV

“Pining” by Theresa Anne Moore

Well, I am wondering if I should have inserted punctuation marks. I guess I will leave it as it is.

All His Benefits (Part 5a)

“All of mankind have witnessed the actions of God no matter if they have acknowledged them or not. But witnessing the Lord’s acts and knowing His ways are two different things. Only those who both hear the Lord’s call and receive Him through faith experience the privilege of knowing His ways.”

Scripture Reference;

Psalm 103

 1Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

 2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

 3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

 4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

 5Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

 6The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

 7He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

 8The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

 9He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

All His Benefits (Part Four)

“In Psalm 34:8 we have “taste and see”… We must sample or try in order to see… to perceive. When I pause and consider that, it causes me to think about “Who satisfieth thy mouth” from Psalm 103 and I get that the part of us that tries things, that considers things is satisfied. The Lord is good, and His word is good. It is not bitter, and it does nourish. The Lord is my portion and if I take the time to contemplate that I will always find that He is good…”

A Beautiful Song

Scripture reference;

“8 The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

10 All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee.” Psalm 145:8-10 KJV

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV

I was listening to this beautiful song and was moved to share it here.

“B” Is For Begonia

Scripture reference;

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32 KJV

Begonia semperflorens come in dwarf varieties that grow to be only 6″-8″ high, and tall varieties that grow to be 10″-12″ high. They come in white, red, pink, and salmon. Some have green foliage, and others have either bronze or a mixture of green and bronze.

Although often treated as an annual in planting zones 8 and under, they are actually  “tender” perennials that grow unhindered in planting zones 9-11. If you want to keep them for more than one season you will have to bring them indoors for the winter as soon as freezing temperatures are predicted.  Some can tolerate full sun, but most prefer partial shade, and rich evenly moist soil.

When treated with tenderness you can count on them to bloom from May all the way through October. They are beautiful in mass plantings, and also in containers.

Here at Serenaded Softly, my theme for the month is Blossoming Verses, where I’ll share a picture of something in bloom, a passage of scripture, and a poem.

Scripture reference;

Ephesians 3

1For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

2If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

3How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

4Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

5Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

6That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

7Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

Breathe your Breath Upon Me by Theresa Anne Moore

Breathe your breath upon me Lord.
Fill me with the Holy Ghost.*
Write your words upon my heart.
Write them so they will stay.
Breathe your breath upon me Lord.

I stand before your presence Lord,
An empty vessel waiting on you.
Fill me with your goodness.
Lord, teach me your ways.
Breathe your breath upon me Lord.
