Scripture reference;

31As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. 32For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? 33God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. 2 Samuel 22:31-33 KJV

We live in Arkansas. That is Lake Dardanelle in the above picture. This particular spot is about a 10 minute drive from our house. If we wanted to have a picnic lunch atop one of the mountains off in the distance it would probably be a 15-20 minute drive south and a little west. Whenever we get storms they usually come from the west or the south west and continue on eastward. This is April 1st. April has a reputation for bringing tornadoes. I am curious how it will work this year, though, because we had a very mild winter and spring came early. Normally people around here don’t plant annuals until the second or third week in April, because we still have occasional nights where the temperatures dip down to the low 30’s or high 20’s. Yesterday it actually got up to 89 degrees! At this moment it is 83 degrees and sunny, but there is a 20% chance of storms.

Weather…it can be so unpredictable. It is full of surprises, and so is life. But nothing catches the Lord by surprise. I am so glad that He keeps his promises. There are times that it might seem like He doesn’t, but He really does. He can make our way perfect, because His ways are perfect. I pray that the Lord will help me to trust Him more. It helps me to trust Him if I take the time to recall all of the wonderful blessings He has bestowed on me even in the midst of the storms in my life. There is not a single chapter in my life where I am unable to recall sweet, beautiful moments where it was obvious that the Lord is patient and kind…and caring. When I pause and reflect on that He strengthens my trust.   :)
